Sacred Marriage Study
Wednesdays at 7 PM beginning March 15
or Saturdays at 7 PM beginning March 25
Scores of books have been written that offer guidance for building the marriage of your dreams. However, your marriage is much more then a well-oiled union between you and your spouse. It is a spiritual discipline ideally suited to help you know God more fully and intimately and reflect him more clearly to a watching world. Sacred Marriage shifts the focus from marital enrichment to spiritual enrichment in ways that can help you love God more fully and in the process, love your spouse more deeply. Whether your marriage is singing, in need of a tune-up, or requiring repair, this study is for you. Two 8-week studies are being offered for couples: Wednesdays at 7 PM beginning March 15 and Saturdays at 7 PM beginning March 25. Please register and let us know which group you are interested in by emailing email@example.com.
Congregational Day of Prayer
Monday, March 27 | 7 AM - 9 PM
Each month, members of our church family, including our pastors, officers, and staff, will take time from their usual schedule to stop and pray for the needs of our congregation and individual members. On the Day of Prayer, all may come and pray any time from 7 AM – 9 PM in the chapel of the Community Life Center. At noon, you are invited to the staff devotion in the CLC chapel. If a member or family seeks anointing or prayer with the Elders, please come to the room nearest the CLC chapel between 6–7 PM or call Pastor Lawrence at 704-708-6110. Prayer cards, filled out by members of our congregation, are available for you to pray over. Prayer sheets are available to guide you in praying for our departments and missionaries. Your confidential prayer requests are always welcome. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pastors' Reading Club
Tuesday, March 28 | 7 PM
Join us for our second reading club of 2017 on Tuesday, March 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Life Center Chapel, as Pastor Brian Peterson leads a discussion of Conscience: What it is, How to Train it, and Loving Those Who Differ, by Andrew David Naselli. 2017 Seek the City students must sign up for a time slot to interview with a CCYM staff member as part of your requirements to be a member of the 2017 Seek the City team. Each time slot is 20 minutes. The times to interview will be during the weeks of April 10-12, April 17-20, and April 26-27. You only need to sign up for one time during these dates. Funeral Reception Team
You are invited to be part of our CCC Funeral Reception Team. When a funeral is held at the church, this team will be contacted for help with food preparation or serving, and given instructions on what would be needed. Very easy recipes will be provided and the cost of ingredients will be minimal. In some cases, you may just need to pick up an item at the store and no preparation would be needed. The goal is to have enough people on the team so that each person would serve a maximum of 3-4 times per year. To sign up to help with funeral receptions, please click here.
