Summer Women’s Bible Study
begins Tuesday, June 6 | 7-9 PM
The Women’s Ministry is offering a summer Bible study, “Who Is a God Like You?” – a study of Micah led by Carolyn Carpenter. This six-week study will be held on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM beginning June 6. Registration is open on the Women’s Bible Study page christcovenant.org/wbs.

Pastors' Reading Club
Tuesday, June 6 | 7 PM
Join us in our Community Life Center chapel for our next reading club meeting as Pastor Bruce Creswell leads a discussion of The Whole Christ: Legalism, Antinomianism, and Gospel Assurance – Why the Marrow Controversy Still Matters by Sinclair B. Ferguson. Since the days of the early church, Christians have wrestled with the relationship between law and gospel. Ferguson shows us that the antidote to the poison of legalism on the one hand and antinomianism on the other is one and the same: the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ, in whom we are simultaneously justified by faith, freed for good works, and assured of salvation. For more information, see our 2017 Pastors' Reading Club brochure located on our website under the Media menu (or click here).

Men's Intensive Discipleship Program
begins Wednesday, June 7 | 6:30-8 PM
The Men's Ministry is offering the second of four studies. It will be held on Wednesdays in June. For this study, J. I. Packer outlines the core tenets and practices of the Christian faith in the book Growing in Faith.   Good thinking about how God created us as people helps us love Christ more fully and serve him more effectively. Our hearts are a consistent blend of three things – thinking, doing, and desiring. As such, the Scriptures are written to conform all three of these categories into Christ’s image. Wise and effective care for others within the church seeks to address the heart three-dimensionally.
Endorsed by Mike Emlet and Ed Welch from CCEF, Dr. Pierre’s work will enrich your ability to care for one another in your church, ministry, and home. There will be a short question and answer forum and registrants will receive Dr. Pierre’s book The Dynamic Heart in Daily Life: Connecting Christ to Human Experience (New Growth Press, 2016). Light refreshments will be served.

Children's Books Needed - Seek the City & ProjectSHARE Collection
Collection from now until June 4
ProjectSHARE is collecting children's books to help Matthews Elementary and Crestdale Middle School in partnership with Seek the City summer camps. We are collecting new or very gently used books to use during our Seek the City Camps. It is very important this year to collect many books, as both camps will be held on the campus of Christ Covenant rather than at the schools. Click here for some suggestions of books to purchase. Studies have shown that one of the best ways to impact literacy is to help children build a home library, and this is exactly what we do with these books. Each child gets to take several home at the end of camp. Books can be dropped off in the main lobby any Sunday, or the church office or Outreach and Missions house during the week.

National/International Outreach Needs
Our ongoing needs (volunteers and collections) for international outreach are available on the International Outreach page of our website. New opportunities will continue to be listed here in the E-Courier. Current opportunities include:
