Why do we need the Kendal Ministry?
Individuals who suffer from chronic illness or long-term disabilities, the elderly, the widowed, or those who
are shut in many times become disconnected from the body of believers. They can often feel forgotten or abandoned, and their caregivers can experience exhaustion and hopelessness. Through the Kendal Ministry at Christ Covenant Church, we want to reach out to such people in long-term care situations. Our goal is to systematically care for, encourage, and support in prayer those who are in difficult situations.
Who can serve in the Kendal Ministry?
Any member of Christ Covenant Church who has a heart for the Lord can serve in the Kendal Ministry. It is a global ministry of
Christ Covenant Church, crossing all congregational communities, and is inreach in its orientation,
serving the families and individuals of our own body. One of the most exciting aspects of this
congregational care model is that it incorporates children eight years of age and older,
accompanied by a parent. Young people who are given opportunities for service with
their families often continue to serve others throughout their lives.
