Current Needs

Ballantyne Church Plant
Sunday, June 25 | noon
Do you live in or around Ballantyne and want to reach your neighbors and friends with the gospel? Do you want to build deep relationships while doing mission for Christ? Former Christ Covenant Church planter, Dean Faulkner, now assistant church planting pastor at Uptown Church, is gathering a team of believers to start a new church in the Ballantyne area. Pastor Faulkner is developing a launch team and will be visiting Christ Covenant on Sunday, June 25, to tell us about opportunities to pray and participate in the work. Following morning worship, there will be an interest meeting in the Community Life Center chapel. For more information and/or if you have have outreach contacts for the Ballantyne Plant Team, contact Pastor Faulkner at 704-619-2832 or deanfaulkner0608@gmail.com.

Matthews HELP CenterProject SHARE
Our next SHARE collection will be June 25 and is food for the Matthews HELP Center. If you are not able to bring your donations on Project SHARE Sunday you can drop them off at the Information Desk any Sunday. Every donation is valued. For the list of needs, see the ProjectSHARE page.

ProjectSHARE Revitalization!
We are so pleased to announce that our ProjectSHARE (Serving, Helping, Assisting, Reaching Everywhere) ministry is expanding its reach in our community so that we might be able to serve additional ministries who can use our support through gifts of materials they need for their work. ProjectSHARE provides a simple way for our congregation to learn more about local ministries as well as national and international ministries with local connections that we can bless in many different ways. Look for more information in our worship folder on July 2 as well as on the ProjectSHARE page.

Yarn Lovers Ministry Summer Project
Our Yarn Lovers Ministry (see our online calendar for dates) will be making water bottle slings for a woman’s conference that will be held in Haiti. This is actually where this ministry began serving a group that goes to Haiti every summer, so this will be our 3rd anniversary! We need to make 250 water bottle slings by the first of July. Contact Mary Jo Culver for more information.

Prison Ministries Volunteers
Opportunities are open for both men and women, assisting on-site or through correspondence, to provide Bible studies and encouragement. One team will be trained to invest time with prisoners on Wednesday evenings at the Mecklenburg County Jail leading small group Bible studies. A second team of mentors would work with the PCA’s Metanoia Ministries to grade and mail back Bible studies offered to prisoners throughout the United States. To learn more about these opportunities contact our Outreach and Missions office at 704-814-1064 or globaloutreach@christcovenant.org. You may also email the ministry coordinators Jim and Patti Prieb at pprieb@mindspring.com.
