The Orchard houses our elementary children and is located in the C building.
By the work of the Holy Spirit, we see children starting to bear fruit from the seeds that we planted in The Flower Bed and added to in The Pond. As they grow developmentally and spiritually, they will be able to take away truths that they have been taught and interact with them in such a way that a true heart understanding can take place.
Elementary classes in The Orchard are held during the Sunday School hour.
Here are a few things you need to know:
- In the Orchard, we use The Biggest Story Bible Storybook as the framework for our curriculum. Although all children hear the same Bible story, different age groups have their own focus!
- K-2: The Bible tells us that God makes promises and He will keep them!
- 3-5: The Bible is one big story and it’s all about Jesus!
- Each week, your children will get to enjoy a time of music (led by a member of our church worship department), a Bible story led by a gifted storyteller, and participate in age appropriate and engaging activities in their classroom with their small group leaders. We are so very thankful for God’s provision of story tellers and small group leaders who will be a consistent presence in your children’s lives!
- Come in through the C building main doors and check in at the iPad kiosk and then walk them to their classroom and sign them in with their teachers…by 9:00 please😊
- Be sure that anything your child brings to class (Bibles, notebooks, jackets, etc.) is labeled with his/her name.
- You will need to show your pickup tag EVERY WEEK! Please help our volunteers by following this policy along with them!
- Please keep your phone on and with you while your children are in their classes. We will contact you via text if your child needs you.
- In an effort to keep our children with allergies safe, no outside food will be allowed in the classrooms. We will not provide a snack in the Orchard classrooms.

Information on Safety and Security
The Children’s Ministry seeks to serve the church by educating children, equipping parents, and engaging volunteers so that the kingdom of God might be glorified. Embedded in each of these values is the responsibility and desire to keep our children safe.
We are constantly evaluating our safety policies and adhering to accepted best practices for churches and schools. We have an extensive CARE Policy (Children and Adults in a Responsible Environment) and every volunteer must be CARE-approved before serving and re-approved every five years. CARE approval includes a background check, reference checks and training. There are always two CARE-approved adults in a classroom.
To ensure children are only picked up by the correct adults, parents check in at our welcome desks and are provided with a unique tag each week, which is presented at pick-up time.
Safety within our rooms is also a high priority, so rooms are cleaned and disinfected and checked weekly to be sure everything is just right for your little one!
