Missions Combined Sunday School

We are excited to have a combined Sunday School during our Missions Conference on March 15, at 9:00 am, in the sanctuary. Below are the supported workers from around the world who will be with us March 15.

Chris and Savanna | Restricted Area

There are millions of Persians living in the worldwide diaspora (outside of their home country) and nearly 100,000 reside in the city where Chris and Savanna serve. Chris leads and facilitates the Persian Ministry at their local church. He conducts small-scale discipleship and leads Bible studies in Farsi with several dozen Persians in the church community. When Chris and Savanna arrived, the church had approximately five to ten Persian participants; that number has now grown to more than thirty. Chris is also attending seminary and working toward ordination as a teaching elder within the presbytery. Savanna homeschools their daughters, studies Farsi, and helps host weekly meals and Bible studies in their home.

Samuel and Carol Foucachon | Paris, France

Since 2010, Samuel has been involved in church planting in the heart of Paris and has now established an Evangelical Reformed Church. They are preparing to plant four additional churches and are currently training seven interns to support this work. Their goal is to help others rediscover the beauty of worship, experience meaningful community, and live out the teachings of Scripture. Carol’s ministry focuses on one-on-one relationships with women, offering encouragement, prayer, and hospitality. She also assists Samuel in counseling situations.

Vaughn and Joni Volious | Columbia, SC

Vaughn serves as Area Director with Campus Outreach working alongside staff teams at Benedict College and University of South Carolina while Joni serves as Regional Women’s Coordinator, developing and training 17 staff women across the region. Together, Vaughn and Joni also lead and shepherd Campus Outreach staff across seven partner schools, equipping them for the work of ministry.

Frank and Sheree | Restricted Area

Frank serves in the Arabic-speaking world by equipping leaders and pastors to plant and strengthen churches. He partners with local believers to provide on-the-ground training and teaching, including involvement with a MENA regional seminary, serving those with little access to theological resources. His work also includes overseeing five denominational ministry teams across the region. Sheree directs a preschool in a low-income neighborhood, offering creative teaching that prepares children for school and nurtures a love for learning. The preschool partners with a local church and provides daily Bible teaching along with academic instruction.

Nisin | Restricted Area

The region where Nisin and Joanna serve in the Arabian Peninsula is incredibly diverse, with more than 120 nationalities represented. Nisin leads an evangelistic student ministry called FOCUS, which stands for Fellowship of Christian University Students. They share the gospel on challenging university campuses and equip students to proclaim Christ and study Scripture with their non-Christian friends. They also disciple students so that they may grow as faithful members of gospel-preaching churches in the region. God is opening doors for the gospel to reach the nations despite significant restrictions.

Trent and Kathryn Thomas | Monroe, NC

The Monroe area is rapidly expanding as a suburb of Charlotte, with the county expected to double in size in the next 25 years. Because of this rapid growth, Monroe is ripe for church planting. Christ Hills stands as the only PCA church – and the only biblically conservative church – near the center of Monroe. Trent serves as the pastor, leading the congregation as they pray for one another, pray for lost neighbors, and host “gospel gatherings” that foster meaningful gospel conversations and invite people to church. Kat supports Trent’s ministry by assisting in the children’s ministry, leading a small group, and providing weekly family worship guides for young families who attend the church.
