God’s Man for His Time: The Life and Times of Elijah

Teacher: Bruce Creswell
All are welcome to join us in Worship Center Room 201 on Sundays at 9:00 am

“The prophet Elijah towers up like a mountain in Gilead above all other prophets,” said Alexander Whyte. He is referred to in Scripture as the Man of God more than any single person in the Bible. But in James 5:17, Elijah was a man with a nature just like yours and mine. Not a super Christian, wasn’t perfect, but he was a man of God, used powerfully by God and left his mark upon his time. In our study we will learn how his life and his time are relevant to us and to our day.

For July & August 2021, the Senior Adult "Thursday" School will be studying Jonathan Edwards. Below are some downloadable and printable documents that might be helpful to you during this class.

September 2020- December 2020

The series title is “The Uniqueness of the God-Man.” The question “Who is this?” is still being asked today just like it was asked during Christ’s earthly ministry. The answer is basic to Christianity. Understanding Jesus’ ministry is rooted in the understanding of Jesus’ “unique” Person. We will be looking at the life and ministry of our Savior from His incarnation to His death and resurrection to His second coming. Our prayer is that “the Holy Spirit, who delights to reveal the things of Christ to us, will unveil His glory” as we look into the Word. In our study, along with the Bible, we will be using The Incomparable Christ, by J. Oswald Sanders.
