“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” — Psalm 73:26
David is a native of Charlotte who was not only born and raised in this area, but grew up as a part of the church family at Christ Covenant Church where his mother, Karen Chambers, serves as a part of the Outreach and Missions staff.
Following high school, David attended Liberty University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Counseling. He is now pursuing his Master of Divinity degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte.
David began his career in youth ministry as the youth and children’s ministry director at Jackson Park Ministries in Charlotte. Prior to beginning his work at Christ Covenant, David served at First Presbyterian Church in Summerville, Georgia, and taught high school Bible in Douglasville Georgia.
During his time at Jackson Park, David met his wife Brittany. They have been married for three years. Together, they enjoy everything outdoors. David also enjoys cooking, writing, and following the Carolina Panthers.
His vision for the middle school ministry at Christ Covenant is that it would a welcoming community where sound doctrine is taught, where students further their understanding of the transformative grace of God, and where students are equipped to be life-long, active, members of the church.
