Poet-Pastors—Their Lives, Hymns & Impact | Worship Center, Room 201

The Lord has used poet-pastors and musicians to shape both our worship and theology for generations. We will explore the lives of several writers, both their joys and struggles. led by Dr. Don Fortson, Professor of Church History at RTS
These sessions will review three significant revivals in American history, and how these movements shaped both the nation and the church. Witness to the World | Community Life Center, Room 5
led by Zach Fulginiti, Executive Director of Campus Outreach Charlotte & Team
There’s a word that strikes fear into almost every Christian’s heart these days: evangelism. It seems as if so many in the church are utterly afraid of the idea of being a witness to our friends, family, neighbors. But evangelism doesn’t have to be so scary! This three-week course will focus on the heart of engaging our non-believing friends with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Be strengthened in your perspective and learn some of the practicals for being a witness to the world around us.
Overcoming Sexual Sin Through Community | Worship Center, Room 211
led by Rev. Tim Geiger & Ellen Dykas of Harvest USA
How can you help someone who is struggling sexually? The Body of Christ is the answer. It’s only within the context of the Body that we mature spiritually and begin to walk in authentic, life-changing repentance. But it requires other members of the Body to work alongside us in authentic relationship. This brief series will look at what it looks like to minister to Christians who struggle sexually: through friendship, discipleship, and accountability. This content will focus on helping those wrestling with sexual sin patterns, but is applicable to any pattern of sin experienced by any Christian.
A Beautiful Faith: Art & Culture in the Covenant Community | Community Life Center, Room 6
led by Dwayne Cogdill, Veteran Graphic Designer
This class will look at who God is and how that relates to our views of beauty and meaning. We will look at examples of art in the Bible and take a short tour of church art history. We will consider three common Christian approaches to culture. Finally, we will consider the Reformed view of culture and how this is a vital part of loving God and our neighbor.
Church, Politics & Christian Citizenship — The Cultural Mandate & the Kingdom of God | Community Life Center Chapel
led by Craig Seibert, Director of the Institute for Christian Citizenship & Statesmanship
This series will explore these topics: The Cultural Mandate given in the Garden of Eden, Cultivating a Biblical Worldview of All of Life, The Four Structures of a Healthy Society, The Original Design of the American Experiment, The State of Society Today, A Christian Response to be Salt and Light to Culture, The Difference between Civics and Politics, and Where Do We Go From Here?
Christians Reaching Muslims, and Muslims Reaching Jesus | Community Life Center, Room 3 & 4
Some think of it as “Mission Impossible” [some of you under 40 may need to google that]. The TV program always started with some version of “Your mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is…” We might call our three weeks together “Walls, Windows, and Open Doors,” or “Imagining, Seeing, and Experiencing.” Most of us are stuck imagining, based on fairly limited “news flashes” designed to get our attention or sell a product. Weeks two and three, and what you “decide to accept” will be
critical to “seeing” and “experiencing.”
