University Reformed Church | Pastoral Fellow
The Lansing metro area is home to 300,000 people, and there is only one PCA church. (For comparison, Mecklenburg County has 1.1 million people and 12 PCA churches.) University Reformed Church (URC) labors to teach and disciple the people of East Lansing. Michigan State University in East Lansing has 51,000 students (including 4,400 international students) and more than 12,000 employees. The city has a secular atmosphere that often pervades university cities, and as such, is in dire need of the truth of Scripture and the love of Christ. Ben is a member of the URC ministry team and provides pastoral care to the congregation and community.
- Pray for faithfulness and fruitfulness in ministry work.
- Pray for a growing love for God’s people and for the lost.
- Pray for the Lord’s leading for the next avenue of ministry for Ben, as this pastoral fellowship program is less than two years.
- Pray for Ben and Alyssa to grow in wisdom as parents, and for Calvin, Sebastian and Theodore to love and follow Jesus.
- Pray for the Lord to bless the Preisers’ efforts in hospitality.
