Mission to the World (MTW) Team Leader
Slovakia is a spiritual desert. The dominant religion is Roman Catholicism. While 90% of Slovaks call themselves Catholic, very few have any knowledge of the gospel or a relationship with Jesus. The Gregoires are focusing on sharing the gospel by developing relationships and allowing people to see the gospel in their lives and in the lives of the church community. Daniel works with a local Slovak pastor to revitalize a small church, and Rebecca directs two Roma kindergartens that serve the community as a Christian head-start program.
- Pray for the church and denomination in Slovakia. Because Roman Catholicism is so large in Slovakia, most people view the Reformed Church as a sect. Pray, therefore, for the church to establish itself within the community.
- Pray for new Roma believers to grow through discipleship. Pray for Roma men to emerge as leaders, because the need for elders and deacons is great.
- Pray for Dan to learn how to live and thrive with his recent Crohn’s disease diagnosis.
- Pray for Dan and Rebecca as they parent adult children, who are married or in college.
- Pray for their younger children who attend Slovak schools and receive all of their education in the Slovak language.
- Pray for their family to grow together in faith and trust in the Lord.
