Julian and Rachel Bacon

Hope International Church of Brussels | MTW Church Planting Team

Brussels is the second most cosmopolitan city in the world, with 62% of the population born in a different country or with a migration background. It attracts many international students, due to the affordability of higher education in English. Spiritually, 40% of Brussels is Catholic (only 7% of those attend weekly mass), 31% is secularist, and 23% is Muslim. Evangelicals make up only 1.2%. Belgium and Brussels have a desperate need for more churches and Christian workers! Julian’s church is an International Presbyterian Church (IPC) that meets an urgent need in such a spiritually dark city.

  • Pray for the Bacon family. They currently have three children aged three and under. Please pray for the Lord to guide them as they seek to balance work, family, and their own devotional lives.
  • Pray for their church, Hope International Church of Brussels. The church has grown quicker than expected. This growth is accompanied by many needs. Please pray for the leadership to prioritize important tasks such as raising up new leaders and the discipleship of the church members.
  • Pray for the church’s building needs. They changed their worship space recently, but they need wisdom for the future in order to accommodate their growing congregation.
