Changed Choices exists so that women who have experienced incarceration may lead restored lives marked by healthy decisions, self-sufficiency, and contribution to their communities.
Here are various ways you can volunteer with Changed Choices:
Pre-Release (currently incarcerated clients)
- Card Writer: notes of encouragement written to specific women who are currently in pre-release. A list of clients and prayer needs is published monthly.
- Mentors by Mail (Pen Pal): mentoring through correspondence with a pre-release client.
- Correspondence Bible Study Teacher: One-on-one studying of scripture through correspondence. The curriculum is provided.
Re-Entry (clients in community)
- Meals for Tuesday Night Bible Study (SEED): Receive a Take Them A Meal link to sign up for their preferred Tuesday.
- Shopping/Errands Volunteer: Provide shopping assistance with clients to understand where and how to best procure needed items or purchase items on a Re-Entry client’s needs list and deliver them to the office. Gift cards provided for purchases.
- Transportation Trainer Volunteer: Instruct Re-Entry clients to use public transportation (bus and occasionally, light rail) Training can be provided by Changed Choices staff.
- Transportation Volunteer: Provide regular transportation for Re-Entry clients to Walmart on a Saturday morning or a specific transportation need such as the probation office or a medical appointment.

Administrative Support
