About this study
Fall 2021- Studying the Letters of John
John’s three letters were written to deal with difficulties being experienced in the first century churches, but are of relevance and importance in our own day. False teachers were denying fundamental Christian truths. John writes to correct this. He shows that sound doctrine is vital since error leads to deception, darkness, and ultimately the destruction of those who embrace it.
Spring 2022- Studying Ruth and Esther
Ruth is a Moabite who married into a Jewish family. Here is a story of hope lost and wonderfully regained that brings her through divine Providence into the heart of God’s plan for the salvation of the nations.
Esther’s tale begins some six hundred years later in the palace precincts of a despotic king, as she maneuvers her way through the potentially lethal intrigues of life in the imperial court. Esther’s story, like Ruth’s, celebrates the providence of our Sovereign God, who works by improbable means to save His people.
