The Kendal Care Ministry of Christ Covenant Church serves members and regular attenders who suffer from long-term health issues. Volunteers also support and encourage shut-ins, caregivers, and the elderly.

Why do we need this ministry?

Individuals with long-term care needs may feel forgotten or abandoned. Their caregivers often experience exhaustion and discouragement. It is the goal of this ministry to come alongside these individuals and their families with assistance and encouragement.

How did this ministry start?

The Kendal Care Ministry began after the Carrick family at Christ Covenant welcomed a daughter named Kendal who had Down Syndrome and multiple long-term care issues.

What are the requirements for serving on a Kendal team?

Any adult who has a heart for the Lord can volunteer to serve in this ministry. Every effort will be made to match each volunteer’s interests and gifts with a suitable team assignment upon completion of a short online training. Volunteers will be scheduled to serve one day each month for approximately two to three hours. They are expected to commit to a minimum of a one-year team assignment.
