If you want to know how to live faithfully now, get to know the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Get to know Him who laid aside His status, laid aside His riches, laid aside His glory in order that He might save those who turn to Him, those who cling to Him, and those who live by faith in Him alone with the hope of eternal life and the promise of blessings forevermore.
Jesus says use your wealth to make friends in the kingdom above. Give to the glory of God. Why would we do any of this? We are reminded through the Scriptures, we were reminded in our prayer tonight, that we have a Savior who gave. A Savior who was rich, who became poor, so that we who are poor might become rich. A Savior who gave His life as a ransom, a Savior who reminds us that no greater love has any man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends. For his friends. That’s why we give.
You may think you’ve sinned too greatly, rejected God, but you are the very one, you are the very one that is welcome. You need no speeches, you need no servitude, you need no merits to draw the Father’s love and mercy. The Father’s love and mercy has already been poured out for you in Christ in abundance.
We have a God who seeks out sinners and absolutely revels, rejoices, in their return.
You see, He’s calling at the door. He’s calling at the door to tell you to drink from the fountain of living water so that you may not thirst ever again. He’s offering you and me to be fed by Him.
Hallelujah. All I have is Christ. Hallelujah. Jesus is my life. Lord, we pray that those words would be true of us here tonight and they would not only be true of here tonight, but for the rest of our life as we thank You once again for the opportunity to come before You and…
