Mark Helmer is the fourth Head of School of Covenant Day School (CDS). Throughout Mark’s 24 years at CDS, he has served as associate head of school, principal of lower school, classroom teacher, assistant athletic director, and coach.
Mr. Helmer has a Bachelor of Science from Wheaton College in secondary education with a concentration in science and a master’s degree from Covenant College in Educational Leadership. He also received an ACSI administrator’s certification.
He desires to see, “Students being transformed and becoming disciples of Christ, being anchored in their faith so that they know what they believe and why they believe it.”
Mr. Helmer and his wife, Andrea, attend Christ Covenant Church and have two sons, Matthew and Luke, who attend Covenant Day School.
