Sandy is a native of South Carolina and a graduate of Clemson University’s School of Accountancy and the University of North Carolina’s Wachovia Leadership Program. He brought more than 20 years of experience as business advisor, CPA and executive management to the role of Director of Administration when he joined the Christ Covenant staff in 2004.
As Senior Director of Administration, Sandy is responsible for the work of all aspects of church management including Accounting, Finance, Operations, Communications, Information Technology, Risk, Legal and Human Resources. He also manages and supervises financial policies, processes, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the church’s assets and its testimony for Christ.
Sandy serves as a Ruling Elder and clerk of the Session’s Executive Leadership Team. He also serves our denomination as a member of the Board of Directors of Retirement Benefits, Inc. (PCA Pension Corp.)
He and his wife Patty, also a CPA, have been married since 1986. They are the parents of two adult daughters, Lindsey Poley and Haley Fields. They enjoy family time together along with hiking and sports.
Sandy grew up in a family that was active in their local church and says he cannot remember a day when he did not know and belong to Christ.
