Thousands of people in Athens, Greece, are without a gospel presence, and churches such as the Eastern Orthodox Church do not preach the gospel in a faithful way. Younger generations view Christianity as full of hypocrisy. The only way to connect and earn trust is through faithful service and a loving presence. First Evangelical Church of Athens offers different programs throughout the week, cultivates friendships and invites the community to the church service on Sundays.
- Pray for people who have heard the good news of the gospel and that God will draw nonbelievers to himself.
- Pray for the team in Athens to keep growing in their love for God and in their love for the community.
- Pray for people who are regularly participating in ministry, that they will grow in following Christ and for Erik and Hara to faithfully lead them toward that end.
- Pray for Kimon, the Petrous’ baby boy, due May 2025. Pray that they will receive this blessing with gratitude, faithfulness, and wisdom.
- Pray that their family and ministry will be blessed by this new baby.
- Pray for their presence within their extended families and friends, that Erik and Hara will be able to share Christ’s love and hope within these relationships.
- Pray that they will grow in their love for each other and for God and his kingdom.
